Transcription Job Requirements

I have 1 year or more of professional transcription/word processing experience in an office environment in the past 5 years (General office, data entry and accounting experience, etc. are not sufficient). Detail of this experience will be required in the application process.

I am a legal resident of the US or Canada.

I do NOT live in California (Due to California law AB-5, SpeakWrite cannot accept applications from California residents).

I am fluent in English, and I possess a strong knowledge of grammar, spelling and punctuation.

I can type 60 WPM with 90% accuracy.

I am proficient in Word, including advanced formatting features.

I can confirm that I can meet the technical equipment requirements below.

SpeakWrite employs cutting-edge technology to deliver quality audio to our transcriptionists. You will need the minimum required equipment to access our system:

Windows-Based PC with minimum 6 GB RAM.
- Windows 10 operating system or newer.
- 64-bit operating system (32-bit not compatible).
- Apple computers are only compatible if you are able to run a Windows operating system. Windows OS is required.
- No tablets / smartphones.
Headphones to listen to dictation.
Foot Pedal to control audio (Optional: You will be notified when to order it if you choose to use one).
