Create your audio recording
Audio & Video
Create your dictation however you choose. You can conveniently use the "Record" feature, with full editing capabilities, in the SpeakWrite Mobile & Desktop App or the SpeakWrite Web Portal. We accept multiple files per submission!
Images & PDFs
We accept many other file types, like images and PDFs. See a complete list of files types we accept below! We can even transcribe SMS! Just take screenshots of your text messages and upload for transcription.
External Links
You can also share your publicly accessible Dropbox or Google Drive links with us. Note: At this time we only accept 1 external link per submission. Just create another submission for each external link to be transcribed!

Web Portal
Access your SpeakWrite Member Account via the web. Upload one or more files (see what files types we accept) or provide an external link to Dropbox or Google Drive. Log in to your account! Not a member? Sign up for free!
Dictation Line
Call our toll-free dictation line to record your audio directly from your phone. Begin dictating when instructed and hang up when finished. Your work will automatically be submitted and routed to our typist network. Call (800) YOU-DICTATE or (800) 968-3428
Receive your completed document
Download File
Log in to your SpeakWrite Member Account, locate your transcribed document and download the file. Note: Completed documents and original audio files are kept on our system for only 90 days. Log in to your account!
Email Attachment
Your work will be automatically emailed to you in Microsoft Word (.docx) format upon completion. You can request a copy of the file to be emailed to an additional recipient. While dictating, just say: 'SpeakWrite Typist, please also send a copy of this completed job to ___'.
Secure Link
You can receive your completed document via password protected URL. Manage this option in your account. On the Preferences page, click the Jobs tab. Under the Job Delivery section, select Secure Link (SSL) Delivery.
